Sydney is full of surprises!!

One of Sydney’s most well-liked family-friendly locations is Parsley Bay Reserve, and for good reason. On the east coast of the city, this tranquil haven offers some of the most expansive vistas.

This undiscovered gem is ideal for relaxing and unwinding to nature’s calming sights and sounds while getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
A charming little swimming facility and grassy parklands that are a favourite of neighbourhood families are surrounded by a dense tangle of bushland just 20 minutes from Downtown.

Although you won’t be leaving Parsley Bay Beach in Sydney for some time, it will save you money to pack your own picnic and drinks.

Alternatively, enter Parsley Bay Reserve from the south and have a stroll through one of Sydney’s most stunning parks. This path will take you to the suspension bridge and is the ideal approach to take in views of the most well-known sights in the city. You cross the bridge to reach the opposite side after passing Parsley Glen.

A well-liked location for social events, family outings, picnics, and even birthday parties are Parsley Bay Reserve. A guarded swimming area, a children’s playground, and picnic areas are additional features that add value to a visit to this reserve.

Horler Avenue has some parking, but it may be scarce, so getting there early is a good idea. Depending on daylight savings, the parking lot opens at daybreak and closes between 6pm and 8pm. Parsley Bay Reserve is easily accessible by foot through Hopetoun and Horler Avenues.

How to get to Parsley Bay Sydney

By Bus

  • Take a bus heading towards Watsons Bay & The Gap from Town Hall station. You may reach there by using buses 324 and 325.
  • Depart at Parsley Road and Fitzwilliam Road (Bus 325)
  • Depart at Serpentine Pde on New South Head Rd (Bus 324)

By car:

There are two ways to reach Parsley Bay Beach:

  • Horler Avenue Parking Lot
  • Street parking on The Crescent and Hopetoun Avenue (via bushwalk)
  • Directions on Google Maps can be found location.
