In a recent interview with CNN’s Chris Wallace, the Private Benjamin actress, 77, Goldie Hawn spoke up about why she and longtermly lover Russell, with whom she has been dating for almost 40 years, have not been married. She questioned, “Why aren’t the two of you married?”
Why aren’t you two get married? On his show, Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? Wallace questioned Hawn, to which she responded, “Why should we be? Isn’t that a better question?

The actress said, “When it doesn’t work out, it ends up being big business.” It always looks ugly, she added. “Someone needs to look at how many divorces are genuinely enjoyable. How many divorces are genuinely free of cost?
How many divorces truly make you hate the person even more? How often divorces result in the hurt of children?
Relationships are difficult, she said. They do not always stay simple. There are numerous obstacles we must overcome.
There are certain things that we agree on and some things that we disagreement on. She appreciates having an opportunity to decide whether to continue the relationship.
“But you and Russell have been together 40 years, you’re not going to get divorced,” regarding her relationship with the Guardians of the Galaxy actor that started in 1983, Chris asked.
“I like the idea that I can wake up in the morning and make decisions every day if I want to be here,” she stated.
Before being divorced in 1976, Hawn got married the filmmaker Gus Trikonis in 1969. She then got married to musician Bill Hudson for a period of six years, and the two of them had two kids: Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson.
