The lavish $200 million renovation of the Sheraton Waikiki has been presented in a stunning display of luxury and sustainability.
This renowned beachside sanctuary is tucked away next to Waikiki Beach’s sparkling seas and provides visitors a mesmerising view of Diamond Head and Waikiki, a painting of luxury and beauty.
TRANSFORMATION OF RESORTS
The 1,636 guest rooms and suites at the Sheraton Waikiki have all received extensive renovations. The renovation project significantly improved the guest rooms, suites, halls, elevator landings, event spaces, and shop experiences from an aesthetic and practical standpoint.
A fitted, carefully picked closet, a refurbished tower, and the addition of washlets in each room helped to bring about the much-needed organisation and order.
The hotel’s nearly 80% of guest rooms and suites have stunning views of the ocean or Diamond Head, and adding pne’e (daybeds) and work tables to the lanai (balcony) further improved visitors’ access to and connection with the mesmerising views.
In its Suite Collection, Sheraton Waikiki offers more than 130 suites, ranging from spacious rooms with three queen-sized beds and more than 600 square feet of space to suites that can house up to six guests.
Featuring two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two lanais (balconies), a cosy living room, a dining table, and a pull-out sofa, the redesigned Ohana Suite is the ideal suite for families. There are six rooms in the Ohana Suite.
Acknowledging the surf culture
The time when living in luxury meant remaining indoors is long gone. Sheraton Waikiki expertly blends luxurious resort living with genuine Hawaiian experiences.
Waikiki Beach Services is a testimony to Hawaii’s rich surfing heritage because of its historical connections to surf heroes like Duke Kahanamoku.
Visitors can choose from a variety of choices to ride the waves, including custom surf packages and stand-up paddleboard training.
However, there are two different poolscapes available for individuals whose concept of leisure goes more towards serene pools than surfboards.
The most beautiful pool in North America, The Edge Infinity Pool, provides a haven for adults exclusively, while the kid-friendly Helumoa Playground beckons with its amusing water elements.
DRINKS BY THE WATER
One of America’s top pool bars, The Edge of Waikiki, is located right next to the award-winning Edge Infinity Pool. Now that the Surfbreak Cocktail menu has been updated, guests may take advantage of the tropical ambience while paying respect to legendary Waikiki surf spots.
Local spirits produced in Hawaii are used in the beverages 100M Freestyle, Queens, Canoes, Three’s and Four’s, and Old Man’s (Gregg’s).
The Edge of Waikiki has also released a brand-new lunch menu showcasing American cuisine with Hawaiian influences that uses seasonal, regionally sourced ingredients.
Outstanding dedication to sustainability
The Sheraton Waikiki was the first hotel in Hawaii to offer EV charging stations and has a LEED Gold certification.
The hotel includes recycling of all green waste, smart timer irrigation systems, native plant species utilised for landscaping, and water refill stations.
With smart thermostats, recycled paper goods, LED lighting, eco-friendly cleaning agents, guest linen reuse choices, and more, hotel guest rooms have also been made more sustainable.
To guarantee that sustainability objectives are reached, the Sheraton Waikiki collaborates closely with event organisers.
