Rudy, found after eight years of missing

According to his mother, the Texas guy who was discovered eight years after going missing as a teen is now unable to say anything. Just a few miles from his house, a kind stranger located a Texas male who had been missing for eight years. He had been missing since March 6, 2015, according to missing persons flyer published by the Texas Centre for the Missing.

Rudy Farias, 25, was discovered on Thursday at a church approximately 8 miles from where he last had lived in Houston when he lost as a teenager, says Tim Miller, a search and rescue operator with Texas EquuSearch.

On June 29, the Houston Police Department got a call for help responded to the east Houston church, and then verified that the person was Farias, according to a department spokesperson.

The family statement claimed that they had no further information about the man’s situation and that he had been discovered by a good Samaritan who had dialed 911.

According to Houston Fire Chief Sam Pea, the Houston Fire Department arrived at the site at the police’s request.

Pena said that Farias’ mother was also there when they arrived. According to Cannon, it was unidentified where Farias had been for the eight years prior to this one.

Investigators from the police have not yet talked with 25-year-old Farias, who is now receiving treatment in a hospital.

Throughout the past eight years has been where Farias has been. According to authorities, in September 2018, family members reported to them that they had seen Farias sleeping off behind a family member’s house.

Nearly 360,000 complaints of missing children were filed to the FBI in 2022, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children; this figure may include duplicate reports. Since police were not able to find Farias after the 2018 sighting, the investigation remained open as a missing person case, Cannon said.

While walking dogs close to home, Rudy disappeared.

Mr. Farias, aged 17 years old, had been last seen on March 6, 2015, while going on a walk with his two dogs close to his family’s residence in northeast Houston. Later, the dogs were spotted.

Texas EquuSearch stated that Mr. Farias had depression and anxiety when he first went missing, and that he might experience have become disoriented because he was no longer taking his medicine.

What Rudy’s Mother Says?

Rudy, who is still nonverbal and unable to speak with us, is receiving the treatment he needs to recover from his trauma. The Post released by the Texas Center for the Missing.

She continued, stating that the family does not know any other information about the case or where Farias has been for eight years. We respectfully request for privacy during this difficult time but will share more details as Rudy continues to heal, Rudy’s mom, Santana said in her statement.
