Rodd Point - Canada Bay

A suburb of Sydney, Australia’s New South Wales, called Rodd Point is located in the Inner West. The City of Canada Bay’s local government area, it is located 9 kilometers west of Sydney’s central business district.

Located on the Parramatta River’s Iron Cove, Rodd Point. Russell Lea and Five Dock are two neighboring communities to Rodd Point. In Iron Cove, right off Rodd Point, there is a small island called Rodd Island. Aside from the Dobroyd Aquatic Club, the Rodd Point memorial is located in Rodd Park. Point is another slang term for Rodd Park. Bicyclists, joggers, and walkers enjoy the Bay Run, which runs beside Rodd Park.

History

The location, which includes land Brent Clements Rodd (1809-1898) purchased from the Five Dock Farm estate in 1836, is known as Rodd Point in honor of the Rodd family, who made contributions to the community for a century. Why Rodd Point?

Rodd Point is located along the renowned Bay Run, a stunning 7-kilometer loop around Iron Cove, and may be enjoyed by runners, walkers, cyclists, and parents pushing strollers with children. The Dobroyd Aquatic Centre is located in Rodd Park, which is also a magnificent park with picnic areas, barbeques, and restrooms close by. If you need to put your feet up for a moment, there is no better place than that. Additionally, if you’re organizing a gathering, you might want to have a look inside the clubhouse, whose hall is well-liked for hosting events because of its stunning bay views.
