EAGLE ROCK AUSTRALIA

In the Royal National Park, there is a special rock formation called Eagle Rock, which is also know as an eagle’s beak. Curracurrong Falls, one of the very few waterfalls in the world. It directly runs into the ocean, is located next to Eagle Head Rock.

These two famous sites are reachable by a beautiful coastline walk that departs from Wattamolla and offers breathtaking vistas all along the way.

The uncommon waterfall known as Curracurrong Falls, also known as Eagle Rock in Royal National Park, can occasionally appear to be flowing upwards. When the wind is strong enough, it can cause the water droplets to rise once more before dissipating as mist. After an extended period of rain, the waterfall is stunning, and windy weather makes it even more spectacular to view.

How to get to the Eagle Rock
There are three methods to reach Eagle Rock in Royal National Park. Regarding duration and distance, they are all similar: a two-hour round trip walk. But check the ways before you travel and contact the Royal National Park Visitor Centre. Contact 02 9542 0648 for alternative location.

Go behind the rock overhang you’re currently standing on for an even greater vantage point.

To get to the creek, take a short detour through the bushes (but stay away from the rocky side).

Be mindful though that while there is lots of parking available. It tends to get quite busy there on the weekends, so it’s best to arrive early in the day.

There is a $12 park parking fee in the Royal National Park per vehicle per day. To pay, either at a ticket booth or at one of the pay machines.
