The planned project is known as Downtown Circle, The futuristic Downtown Circle, created by
co-founders Najmus Chowdry and Nils Remess of the architecture firm Znera Space in Dubai,
would significantly alter Dubai’s cityscape. The ZNera Space smog-filtering design, which was a
finalist for the World Architecture Festival 2018 award in the area of “Experimental Future
Project,” might be included into the pillars’ construction.
The ring would be 3,000 meters in diameter and 550 meters high, with two main rings that are
connected and house public, private, commercial, and cultural spaces. Five enormous pillars, the
bases of which would be in vacant lots, would support the ring and may also serve other
purposes. This ring will be 3 kilometers in circumference. This ring will be split into more
manageable pieces, according to The National News. There will be residences, public areas,
commercial areas, and cultural areas inside this ring. The Downtown Circle has five storey and is
supported by five ground-set points, or pillars. Two primary rings will make up the vast
enlargement of the circuit, which will be joined by a continuous green space known as the
Skypark. Dubai’s aspirational blueprint for a sustainable urban environment by 2040 was taken
into consideration when creating the design. It will be a single mega-building complex,
according to the company. Its goal will be to develop a highly effective urban core that protects
the environment as well.
